At around 9 p.m., I see my pole jump and then just sink down and start screaming! Never even rang the bell. My old Murata pole with a Torium 50 was being put to the test. I got the fish to turn around, and gained some line on him, but when he took his second run it almost pulled me down to the rocks. I regained my stance and started boosting.I could barely hold the pole in my hands. Willy was right there to gaff it, and we landed it around 9:45 p.m. I was done. Willy and Marshall had to pull the fish up and drag him to the Jeep. It was a killer one, but I did finally get that Big Boy!
